David Biron manages a seven member team which addresses warranty, reliability, metallurgical, and supplier quality opportunities for improvement.  David also provides guidance to a team consisting of five quality engineers and three quality assurance specialists.  The background of the quality group ranges from former machine operators with many years of experience, to ASQ Certified Quality Engineers with extensive expertise in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries.

The team is responsible for maintaining TS 16949 Quality Management Certification standards while continually improving quality for customers, suppliers and internal processes.  The quality tools utilized are problem solving, variance reduction, measurement system analysis, a dedicated laboratory for failure analysis and the effective use of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).  The team also has the advanced resources of two CMM’s, a 3D scanning arm and a particle count microscope for cleanliness studies and other analytical equipment to assist in their improvement efforts.

David and the team hold a variety of degrees in engineering and business.  The team has achieved seven ASQ certifications including four CQE’s, one CRE and one CMQ/OE.  They have the experience needed to implement quality management systems for the manufacturing processes and to provide robust solutions to quality issues across the value chain.
